Today, I want to share with you all a delightful restaurant that I recently discovered in Jeddah. It’s called “خيال” or “Khayal” in Arabic and it’s a Turkish restaurant that offers a wide range of mouth-watering dishes.

Delicious Turkish Flavors
The menu at خيال is filled with traditional Turkish dishes that will tantalize your taste buds. From appetizers to entrees, there’s something for everyone. One of my favorite appetizers is the Borek, a savory pastry filled with feta cheese and parsley. For the main course, you can’t go wrong with the classic Adana Kebab, which features juicy grilled minced lamb served on a bed of seasoned rice. And don’t forget to save room for the Baklava, a sweet pastry made with layers of phyllo dough, honey syrup, and pistachios!

Recipe for Adana Kebab
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1 large onion, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp sumac
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped parsley
- 1/4 cup olive oil
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground lamb, onion, garlic, paprika, cumin, sumac, salt, black pepper, and parsley.
- Form the mixture into 6-inch-long sausages around skewers.
- Grill the skewers over medium-high heat until the meat is cooked through, about 7-8 minutes per side.
- Serve on a bed of seasoned rice and enjoy!
